Day of the Dead Papel Picado

Papel Picado is a banner seen throughout Mexico during the holidays. The Day of the Dead decoration has become super trendy in recent years and can even be found in big stores like Micheals. The traditional craft is made of intricately cut tissue paper and takes a significant amount of time. Using colorful dollies (or dying white dollies yourself) in the discount bins at Michaels, I knew that I could whip up a similar look in a lot less time!
