In fact, the more coarse your curl pattern, then less you should be messing with the hair on a daily basis. This can cause breakage and drying out the curl. Sunday: This is our big hair day during the school year. On Sundays, we: wash thoroughly – sometimes following our routine for low porosity hair if her hair needs an intense cleaning – and detangle completely. Wednesday and/or Thursday: At some point mid-week we redo the hairstyle – but not completely!!! Our second back to school hairstyle of the week depends on how we parted the first style. More hair is taken down, out of braids or put up. Sometimes we just restyle the hair into the same braids. Regardless this is day we apply more oil and moisture to the dry hair.
