If you’re ever in central California, tour a strawberry farm! I came home excited to make all the strawberry recipes I could find and this strawberry mango salsa was the first to happen. A refreshing summer snack, this strawberry mango salsa recipe is perfect with homemade chips. Combine sweet and spicy with this fresh take on traditional salsa.

A few weeks back I was invited to Monterey by the California Strawberry Commission to learn about the ways agriculture moves from the farm to our table. I’m ashamed to admit how little I knew about the amounts of work it takes to get our favorite fruits and vegetables on the grocery store shelves.

I wrote about my experience on the strawberry warm here: Learning to Look at Hard Work Again.

Making homemade chips is super easy too. And you know what? They taste SO much better than store-bought! Just cover your pan with about an inch layer of vegetable/corn oil and heat on medium. Cut corn tortillas into quarters and fry until golden brown.
