Game Day Winner with Buffalo Chicken Dip Balls!
Goodness, it has to be over 10 years since my best friend served Buffalo Chicken Dip at one of her babies’ birthday party. I fell hopelessly in love with it then, and now will only make it on special occasion. (It’s so fattening and falls in my mouth by the spoonful). We’re invited to a couple parties for this year’s big football game, so I decided to twist up the classic by making Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites (or balls, if you so choose).
This post is sponsored by Walmart, the one stop shop for all our ingredients and hostess gifts for the big game!
Buffalo Chicken Dip Balls
Makes about 26 dip balls, bites, whatever
2 cups shredded chicken
1 cup Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce (we love this sauce!)
1 tablespoon Ranch Dip seasoning blend
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Flour, as needed to coat
3 eggs, whisked
Bread Crumbs, as needed to coat
Instructions
Mix the chicken, cream cheese, sauce, seasoning, cheese until well incorporated. Spread mixture as a thin layer into a baking dish and place in frig for a few hours, or overnight. With a tablespoon, scoop mixture and roll into bite sized balls. Dip and coat from flour, to eggs and then the bread crumbs.
Using a small deep fryer I bought from Walmart over the holidays for our Noche Buena croquettas, I fried my Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites. They were so good. I mixed the remaining seasoning from the Ranch Dip packet with sour cream and served it as a dip for the balls, but these bad boys can ride solo too. You can easily bake these as well. Maybe spray with some oil first, though.
