Britax is at it again, making child car seat safety easy without compromising quality. Awhile back I told readers about the newest technology in Britax car seat installation called ClickTight. My friend timed me – I was able to (properly) install the seat in 60 seconds! But it wasn’t until we got a pair of Frontier 90 with ClickTight seats delivered that I began to fully appreciate how innovative this new technology is.

Since I’m a stay-at-home mom (which is more like “work-at-home-mom” these days), our family never really needed more than one car seat per child. I am always with my kids. If we have a sitter, they come to us, but again, that is very rare. If Daddy D takes the kids out alone, he uses my car. But now that Alina is in pre-school, having an extra car seat definitely comes in handy. Daddy D takes Alina to school each morning. This gives me so much extra time and is a big help. But, who wants to deal with switching car seats from one car to the other every day? Not us!

The new Frontier 90 with ClickTight technology is so simple and easy, even Daddy D was impressed (and it’s hard to impress this guy!). With just a few easy steps, you’re car seat is safely installed using the vehicle’s belt system. Did know that LATCH has weight limits? Ya, neither did I. Using the seat belts ensures that your car seat is safely installed for your growing baby up the the seat’s weight limits.

Daddy D has a small, compact car (he drives a lot for work) and this seat fits beautifully in it. It’s sleek, yet characteristic of the company’s superior safety. Because Daddy D has to load his car up with stuff for clients at times, it was also important that the seat could easily and quickly be removed. Obviously, my concern was that he knew how to properly install after removing it – and that it could be done with just one person.

Daddy D couldn’t believe how easy it was to install, remove and install again – that whole process took less than 5 minutes. You just have to squeeze the buttons inside the base, lift the seat up, slide the seat belt through the slots, and close. That’s it! (Don’t forget to use the anchors if your car is equipped with them).

Alina is very comfortable in all her car seats, and this one is no different. Oh! One last thing I learned on our trip this summer is that this honeycomb pattern on the base is essential if the seat were to suffer impact. It’s safety you can see. Pretty cool, huh?
