If you’re looking for a delicious summer grilling recipe for your next family cookout, look no further. This Shawarma recipe is it! Not only does it comes together super easy and is, without a doubt, a fan favorite it only needs a few ingredients.
We got together with our best friends over the weekend and it was so much fun to watch our babies play and enjoy some good food together. As a Walmart Mom, I’m excited to partner with them to show you how I made this delicious Shawarma recipe for the perfect summer picnic.
Chicken Shawarma Recipe
This summer chicken recipe is easy to make and even tastier than you could imagine. I used a pre-made Shawarma seasoning mix, but you can easily make your own. I also used Marukan All Natural Rice Vinegar to add a heighten flavor to the recipe, which is low in sugar and sodium and enhances the flavor of anything you add it to!
Here’s what you need to make this delicious Shawarma recipe come together for your next summer picnic.
- 3-4 pounds chicken (I used legs and skinless, boneless thighs)
- 2 tablespoons of Shawarma seasoning mix
- 3 tablespoons Marukan Rice Vinegar
- juice of 1 lemon
- 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
Combine all the ingredients together and let the chicken marinate for 20 minutes (or overnight!). Once the grill is ready, cook the chicken until done. Enjoy immediately!
Our delicious chicken sharwma recipe was served with a side of naan bread and a kale salad. It was the perfect meal after a long day of swimming and spending time with friends.
