This Freshman got accepted to Monsters University!
I remember my first year in college – it was so stressful! My mood would swing from crazy excitement to pure terror. At times I wished I could drop out even before I started. It’s a mystery how I even survived those first few days. And guess what, I’m doing it again! In a couple weeks I will be attending the Hollywood premiere of the much anticipated family film, Monsters University, with 24 other bloggers who are obviously not Freshmen. They’re way cool and all BFFs, but also super sweet.
Just like the last time I was a freshmen, I am so nervous to be attending my first Disney event. I got an awesome letter of recommendation from the Disney Alumni at SpanglishBaby – who were actually the one’s invited to the Hollywood event – so here I am, ready to start my first class. Mad props to my amigas at SB – I’m a lucky girl to have such cool friends.
For a few days, all 25 bloggers will be staying at Hollywood’s hotel for the stars, The Universal City Sheraton, so there is sure to be lots of sisterly bonding going on. We’ll be tail gating on Hollywood Boulevard before the big MonstersU premiere at El Capitan Theater, sporting the university colors of royal blue and white. I guess this is how the cool kids do it! I’m actually really excited to watch Monsters University. Doesn’t it look so cute?! We loved Monsters, Inc!
The next day we’ll be learning about some exciting plans Disney has, but I had to take a sorority pledge not to tell their secrets. The cool kids told me I’ll be able to spill the beans soon. Stayed tuned!
I’ll be all over Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #MonstersUPremiere with updates on my freshmen freakouts. I’ll also be live tweeting from the @SpanglishBaby Twitter handle, so be on the look out for me over there too!
This experience is going to be short and jam packed with lots of learning, but I plan to take it all in and enjoy every minute!
