Our Kidville Experience Continues

Last week was the final day of Alina’s hip hop dance class. It was over three months ago that this Vegas blog joined the ranks of Kidville Mom Ambassadors all around the world to spread the word about this family focused center. We went from my struggle of raising independent kids to Sebastian learning to walk to, this day, where Alina had her first dance performance in front of family and friends. I can’t imagine experiencing this kind of growth at any other Vegas child center. Certainly not at those big brand, unpersonalized places.

As Alina’s final dance class drew near, I started to get sad. Not only had Alina met new friends, but spending time with the moms of Kidville really gave me chance to relax too. There was also this sweet, beautiful young lady that I was going to miss – Melissa, the Mayor of Kidville (as in, she is the person that makes all the magic happen).

Melissa engages every mom and family member that visits the facility – she really makes you feel at home, at peace. You aren’t a member id number. She knows each kid’s name, even those not enrolled at Kidville. She suggests classes, tells you about the instructors, provides knowledge as to how and why a certain teaching technique is used. Unlike my experience at other Vegas facilities, I 100% trust my child in her care.

Nothing is left to chance at Kidville – play time is learning time and I can absolutely see that growth in Alina’s level of socialization and maturity. She did so amazing at her dance recital! She wasn’t even a bit nervous – I’m so proud of her!

On the day of Alina’s first dance recital, Dad took a break from work to attend and even brought his little girl flowers. I just about melted! The class was small (which I love!) so it wasn’t a high stress event, but the girls all felt so special and loved. We picked up a card and little gift for Alina’s teachers on the way there, and she was so happy to hand it to them. Miss D and Miss M have been nurturing and loving, exactly what Alina needs in a teacher to excel.

And, I’ll admit it, I cried. I can’t believe how fast my girl is growing up!vegas blog, kidville, kids ville, summer traditions, family fun activties, mom ambassador, african american baby, biracial baby, mixed family, black dad
