As you drive down Fort Apache where it turns into Rampart, you find a large stretch of what appears to be an exquisite Italian resort. It took some years, but Tivoli Village is finally open to our community!
If you live in Vegas, or are visiting and want to see our latest and greatest, check out Queensridge’s new development situated about 11 miles west of the Strip, near the master-planned community of Summerlin.
Las Vegas Tivoli Village
Luckily for us, especially those of us on the West side of the Valley, Tivoli’s grand opening was a welcomed occasion. The Westside really needed something like this and although the development is not yet at capacity, it is still a welcome source of entertainment for us.
Las Vegas Tivoli Village is anchored by the intersection of two pedestrian-only cobblestone streets, which are lined with up-scale, chic vendors.
At the corners sit two restaurants with outdoor, cafe-like seating; the kind you find in Europe. On a particular evening we visited, there was a band set up in the center of the intersection. They also had street performers walking around that really elevated the experience to different heights. Diners can sit outside and listen to music, while other visitors stop to watch for a bit before continuing their stroll. Or, you can just get out there and dance.
Activites + Events
Tivoli Village also hosts many local activities and events, such as farmer’s markets and family-friendly celebrations. Tivoli also has a fun play area for the kiddos with plenty of shaded seating for adults to sit and relax while the babes blow off some steam.
A splash pad area for the heat of the summer months is there too with shade. A splash pad is basically a big fat sprinkler system, with alternating bursts of water shooting up from the ground; the kids love it!
Tivoli’s calendar is packed with family-friendly events that I look forward to attending, such as weekly Saturday morning farmer’s markets by fresh52, pet adoption events, outdoor concerts featuring local talent and so much more!
Every week they post their weekend’s scheduled of events. Las Vegas is known for the glitz and glam of the Strip, and indeed it is the center of this city. But for those of us that call this place home, developments like Tivoli, which are free of the constant noise of gambling machines and bright lights, is a wonderful alternative.

May 21, 2011 at 9:55 pmWow! It looks wonderful. I know where I’ll be heading if Life ever lands me in Las Vegas. Actually, come to think of it, a cousin of Justin’s was just in Las Vegas, like just a couple of days ago – I wonder if she went there???? Sometimes I wish I lived in a bigger city so we had something like this, but then I think we’ve got things here that tourists will find amazing, we’re just used to them now. Maybe I need to start looking at Townsville through the eyes of a tourist!
